ways, demonstrate a variety of abilities and improve performance.
In order to ensure that improved performance occurs by design rather than by either good fortune or accident it is important that the modern employee plans and
actively seeks to develop a variety of transferable skills. Personal Development Planning (PDP) is a key element that is used to satisfy these goals. Cottrell (2011)
identifies PDP as a means to draw together the following concepts:
