You are on the Web Design Team at Regent’s Web Media. You have been approached by Transportation Company (Sylvie’s Show Cars) to develop their corporate web-site. After a meeting with the Company director, you have obtained the following information:
Sylvie’s Show Cars was founded in 2010. The company offers regular coach transportation throughout the UK. As well as providing coach and limousine hire, the company also offers charted services for music concert events and senior and family excursions.
Most recently, the company acquired four stretch limousines that have been refitted with new upholstery, mini bar services and a surround sound theatre system.  The company strives to offer the best service available nationally. This means that their fleet of coaches and limousines are fully equipped with air-conditioning to make their customer’s journeys more enjoyable.
The company has recognised that a web-site promoting their services will help to increase sales, increase customer loyalty and provide information for those who may not otherwise phone to ask for information. The company have approached Regent’s Web Media to develop their web presence. To ensure that the requirements of the web-site are achieved you are required to produce a report containing design documents and the various design guidelines adhered to.
The company has provided you with a range of images you can use within the web-site. You do not have to use all of them, and additional ones can be used. However, you must use the Company’s logo.
What you are required to produce for this assignment:
1)    A written report:
•    Section 1: ‘Requirements Specification–
The aims of the web-site need to be clearly stated. You also need to identify (from the assignment scenario) who the target users will be and provide a brief description of them. You also need to provide a list of Functional and Non-Functional Requirements (Use the Assignment Scenario and the attached marking sheet to create the Requirement Lists). You also need to state what the different goals will be for the different groups of target users. This section should be no less that 1 page of A4.
•    Section 2: ‘Prototyping–
Here you need to provide Storyboard sketches of all 6 screens of your web site. Each storyboard should take up a page.
•    Section 3: Interface Design Guidelines
Select two ‘Interface Design Guidelines’ that we have covered in our lectures for this module. State how you have followed the guidelines in the design of your web-site. Approximately 1 – 2 sides of A4 for each guideline
•    Section 4: Design Principles:
In this section you need to state how your website has complied with the interface design principles of perception, attention, human memory, and the use of colour. References must be included and screen shots of examples added where necessary. No less than 1 page of A4 per design principle.
•    Section 5: Visual Layout and Navigation Design
In this section you need to state what graphical layout you selected for your web site and why. You also need to justify your reasons for the layout design patterns used. For navigation you need to state what you have used for Global and Utility Navigation, and which navigational model you have applied. No less than 1 page of A4.
•    Section 6: Conclusions
Write a brief paragraph on what you feel you have learned from this module and what has been particularly helpful to you.
•    Appendices: Usability Testing
Design a usability test form that the client (Sylvie’s Showcars) could use for conducting usability testing on your site.
•    You also need to provide a list of references used in the report
