Apply a desktop that has a VB/VB.NET front-end with an Access database back-end.
All code must be documented/commented. Â The application will need to be multiple
forms and allow users to pick from 5 options on the home screen:Â Enter Recipes,
Search Recipes, Add Ingredients to the database, Build a Meal Plan, & query recipes
against ingredient on-hand. The specifics for the home screen options follow:Â
Enter Recipes
allow users to input recipes into the database
Search Recipes
search and retrieve recipes entered into database prior,
recipe search function should allow for users to drill-down by recipe name, recipe
type, and prep, cook, or total times
Add Ingredients to the database
should include code verifying that the ingredient is not already in database
Build a Menu Plan
3 meals each day, 4 recipes each meal
cover a seven day time period starting on Sunday
allow for miscellaneous other items not associated with a specific meal to be
selected from database, fine to treat this as though an 8th day
meal plan must allow for saving and printing
meal plan must have the option to export to a seperate grocery list form
Grocery List form
should allow users to remove items already on-hand, as well as allow for additions
from the database and have an area for handwritten notes,
the grocery list should be sorted by ingredient category (Baked Goods, Canned
Goods, Dairy Product, Frozen Foods, Fruits/Vegetables, Meat, Misc.)
the grocery list must allow for saving in a format that can be easily emailed and
be printable
Query option that determine what recipe(s) could be made using on-hand ingredients.
 User should be able to enter up to 5 on-hand ingredients and on button click
recieve an on-screen pop-up showing all recipes with more than a 50% match of
ingredients on-hand
should allow user to add selected recipe from pop-up to meal plan
